these days it's quite impossible to motivate yourself to do anything different from taking to the water as early as possible. thereby besides the current you don't have to take that many risks into account - dangerous attacks from the depth are basically not to be expected.

all the strawberries are harvested, the field is broken up and the farmers have quickly left the area to worry about the rest of the summer yield. only a few wooden boxes - i think they are called lugs - remained on the field.
instead of harvest-fresh berries this one lug contained just one single drop of rosin, apparently it was left to its fate. well, all good things must come to an end.

it's quite uncommon to go into the water with a 1000 bucks camera in the hand, but at times unusual approaches make sense.

however much i long for the yearly surf vacations in portugal, that time still seems to be far away down the road. so for today i have to keep my spirit up with an old photograph from last year, although the shown is not quite to my taste.

the panorama mode is a well-working feature of the sony nex system, that i use from time to time, but have just shown one time on the blog. i like the results especially with the 50mm view.
while i was enjoying my evening bike ride, the farmers still had to bring in the harvest. not quite an easy job...
