unfortunately there is a high probability, that the regular walks with our neighbour's dog kingston will come to a soon end. for that reason please forgive me portraying my dear fellow again and again.

on this occasion and for the first time i'd like to test the appearance of the results from a new blog photo sharpening and resizing routine, which automatically generates multiply sharpened and resized jpgs with integrated titles and exif information directly from lightroom. the setup of the necessary tools is not that easy, but with a little computer knowledge and a concept of what you want to obtain from the perl-based scripts, the installation and configuration should be possible for the most people. if you are interested in more information, please follow this external link to the website of an (unfortunately german) mirrorless camera board: click. the tool does not replace the situational sharpening in lightroom, but makes for an appropriate preparation and rescaling of your images for the web presentation. i don't know yet, if i'll use it from now on, but at a first glance i'm taken by this solution.
welcome 2014
it's just the second of january and fortunately the new year 2014 is already extending a warm welcome to tina and me. the upcoming months will be the riskiest but most thrilling time of our lives. we are crossing our fingers, that things will turn out very well. i hope for each of you that your 2014 will bring along all the things you long for, and vigorous health in particular!

up
as i might have been expected, the year 2013 brought along a lot of challenges and duties, that had to be handled by tina and me. different from the zig-zag in the image above our course seemed to be stable and i think i'm currently on target in every respect. as far as photographic aspects are concerned, i'll keep on forcing myself to simplify my visual language in particular. images like today's have a calming influence; for me they may contain a lot of different meanings. they are very generic, which makes them appropriate for the mapping onto various stories, people and topics. however that may be ...
... merry christmas to all of you and some happy holidays!
