festival feeling

June 22, 2014

for party outdoor actions like music festivals my usual digital camera is replaced by the analogue diana mini. actually its operation is more than simple: two aperture settings, just one shutter speed option and only the focus distance to be set. nevertheless one is not immune from mistakes: here these two exposures were partially merged because i didn't properly wind the film in between.

however i love the result as much as the festival summer itself!

flowerpot

June 15, 2014

although bringing masterpieces like the &tradition flowerpot into action mainly results in pure joy, meanwhile i have enough of hanging up lamps and all the other stuff that comes along with house moving.

all the four samples shown here were taken at f1.8: for indoor photography actually a fast lens might not be essential because you could easily go for a tripod. down to the fact that i don't even own such a thing and i additionally don't want to discuss topics like how to stabilise my cam, i'm very glad having the sel35 f1.8 giving me the chance to take pictures like those.

early ferry

June 12, 2014

this is the view i'll be able to adore more often from now on. after our move across the lake, from the rural region of linzgau into the sole city here at lake constance, constance itself, my daily route to work will lead me across this wonderful body of water twice a day.

it takes only 15 minutes to reach the opposite bank. and it usually takes me only 15 minutes to unwind.

return journey

June 09, 2014

if everything went well, i'm on my way home from rock am ring now. except a lot of work and our cozy new flat one little thing is highly likely not yet waiting for me: i ordered the brand-new sony rx100 miii already two weeks ago but unfortunately it won't be shipped before the beginning of july here in germany.

since sony has managed to address the (for me) pending issues of the first two versions (especially tilting screen, viewfinder, focal range) and has even succeeded in making the whole package - allegedly including iq - one step better without significantly increasing its size, it's time for me now to get my fingers on this piece of engineering for more than a few hours.

scurry of sheeps

June 06, 2014

these are the last samples taken during our little torture walk. let me tell you, it's kind of demotivating if you are bypassed by a flock within a few seconds.

61 kilometres of joy

June 01, 2014

don't ask me why we do that. it is certain that we did it. several times. and we will do it again and again: plain walking, just interrupted for a few snapshots.

self-conception

May 30, 2014

although the papercut lady does not literally look amazed, i'm again and again astonished about the lightness of being of the ladies on those great islands in the north. hard to imagine that the majority of the german women would be that cool with their so-called imperfections.

old library pt. 2

May 28, 2014

one floor above the book of kells is an amazing, two-storey, barrel-vaulted, 65-metre-long archive that houses allegedly 200,000 of the library's oldest books and currently a few great prints as well. although i'm no fan of the obvious points of a city, this is a must-visit and you will not get around to stop-by if you'll ever pass around dublin.
