holiday cat

August 16, 2014

finding at least one cute little kitten to play with and pet makes the desire for our left-at-home-cat less painful.

lago di como

August 13, 2014

finally some days off again. we departed home for a few days of inaction, just reading, wine drinking, enjoyment of italian food and of course a bit of photographing.

lettuce landscapes

August 05, 2014

one doesn't need to travel far to find unusual shapes of coloured streams and flows between a lot of raised green.

high iso tests

August 03, 2014

the sometimes relaxed, sometimes impulsive cat is an appropriate subject when it's about high iso indoor camera tests. the rx100mIII does really well here, although it's not able to cope with my aps-c format nex7.

mapped

July 26, 2014

special photographs only come up when fortune makes for this final touch.

it's not that i'd suggest that the image above couldn't be made better - the camera was accidentally set to jpg-processing, the framing is anything but perfect and a frozen cyclist that additionally drives more through the center of the image would have been better, too. however i take the sudden appearance of the identically patterned shape as a present and prefer the overall result to the flawless samples of that pretty aquamarine roundabout circle in the suburb of my new home base constance.
