i arrived on hiddensee in the early evening. i've never been here before and as far as i can remember, i've never been to an island, where cars are strictly forbidden. you won't be able to leave the island after 9pm, when the last ferry of the day starts. so you have to spend your time cycling or walking along the seaside. not the worst option...
