with the coming posts i'm going to take you with me on a journey through the tyrrhenian sea. after almost three years of studying in parallel to the usual work the batteries had to be recharged from the ground up. travelling to an archipelago like the aeolian islands in off-season sounded like an appropriate approach, that proved to be true in the aftermath.
in the image you can enjoy a pretty typical view from malfa, the capital of salina - one of the seven aeolian islands - to north-east direction. on the left with a column of smoke (blown away by the wind) the sole really active vulcano in europe, stromboli, on the right the island of the rich and beautiful italians, panarea. due to microclimatic circumstances these two islands are often covered by a single cloud each, what imo makes for a pretty funny frame.
more to come.
