fortunately without broken arms or legs a great trip came to an end. journeys like that should been done more often.

well, yes, i'd understate, if i call the fujian a not so sharp lens. it's rather appropriate to declare it as a blur-machine. but hey, who cares, if you choose the right subjects? photographing the wonderful dome would have surely given me non-satisfying results, distortion and sharpness are horrible. even stopping down does not affect corner sharpness effectively, you just transform the ring-shaped spot of sharpness to a circle... however taking a subject with a small relevant area uses the weaknesses of the fujian as a strength.
the nex 7 attached with the little toy lens is the smallest package i'm able to set up with my current equipment. for that reason and because of the matter of our stay here in milan - a bachelor trip - i chose this combination. sooc, toy camera mode.

metro colours
in milan it's very easy to find out, in which metro you are currently sitting: each of the lines has its own colour, that can be found not only on the map, but also on the walls and even on the rails of the stations.

poverty doesn't stop at borders of cities or countries. you will find this phenomenon in every corner of the world, especially in extraordinary expensive areas like here in milan.

today one has to lead the people by writing dozens of whatsapp messages. unfortunately in the very same moment the nsa knows your intentions. and as i can imagine the presence of a head of state in the heart of a metropole might have caused bigger stirs in the past ;)

had luck with this one: while i was waiting for a pedestrian, an italian police car rushed by. i fortunately pressed the shutter button in the almost perfect moment: the emergency number was just diving into the dark. again a high contrast monochrome from camera's jpg engine, small tweaks in snapseed.

the channels, here in milan called navigli, shape the townscape of the southwest of the city. naviglio grande, a 50km long channel from lagio maggiore to the heart of the town, was formerly used to transport the marble for the dome of milan. today mainly tourists are navigated through the narrow waterstreet.
when i see that the captain secretly siphons off money before cashing up, i really have no further questions after the reasons for the financial disease of europe's southern countries.
