in times of passages from one season to the other the forces of both usually fight very hard against each other. thereby the opponents conduct war by every trick in the book - providing cover is only one of the applied methods.

a few parts of autumn haven't understood yet that winter is taking over command currently. they still rebel against snow, ice and cold but either they will be frozen by the relentless winter or buried deeply under the temporary white surface real soon now.

in the course of the arriving winter the scenery and the rural townscape evolve into perfect advent postcard subjects.

light, soft snowflakes waft through the alleys and dip the landscape in a clear, plain white. the windows are already richly decorated and fir branches make for festive atmosphere. so cosy.

the basics in life for a positive togetherness are clearly defined: friendship, confidence, sincerity, reliability and then some. for the implementation of the whole environment on earth life itself has defined own rules and dependencies, mostly based on the rules of physics.

the theorem of intersecting lines is only one of the boundary conditions of our daily lives and made for great patterns on the ceiling of the comfortable, little bar where we went today in the evening after dinner with our friends jeen and diet to intensify our extraordinary positive togetherness.

although the linden tree in the centre of our courtyard might not be as old as the whole farm itself, it has definitely experienced a lot of the things the buildings had to take.

the huge tree sits enthroned in the middle of the yard and the buildings, gives shades in the summer heat, limns the shadows of itself on the ground in the night, is the home for many birds as well as for two or three squirrels and makes a top-class scratching post for all the kitties on the premises.

in the meantime it is really dear to my heart and just as deeply embedded in my mind as in the soil.

there are images that suggest thinking about different kinds of stories. with today's pic i could tell stories about seeing light at the end of the tunnel and so on. but i actually don't want to talk about such negative things although the dark clouds that are currently gathering here at work state something different.

i for one know that no matter what happens, if everything should collapse anytime there will be a fall back position at home at my girl's shoulder. so let's look ahead instead and marvel at the craftsman who was working in a sun-like, warm light all the afternoon. he was the only one who got out of the grey today and deservedly so because he is one of the men who get our corridors in pretty and neat order again.

usually animals aren't able to talk. they use body language and noises for expression. you'd almost think that they master facial expressions, too.

the wonderful, sweet and cute kitty of our neighbours, paulinchen, seemed to get the needle when we were dressing her as a miner, apposite to the dark season of year. fun doesn't have to cost a lot of money.

have you ever thought about where we will be and how we will do in a couple of centuries? it's a crying shame how bad the humanity treats the wonderful blue planet. i don't know if i should be glad not to be in at the end of the earth or sad that probably any of my offspring has to face the music.

currently the earth is our plaything of life, anytime we will be the game balls of the last match at all for a long time.

long walks in the woods ease my mood. every time i go into the forest all the unnecessary information is erased and space for new activities is created.

in my case the recovery of energy from the indefinitely complex nature is tremendous, even if the lights are almost gone already. when the shadows gain the mastery over the whites, all the parts of nature put their shapes down and become softer and smoother. what a great sight!
