i've no idea why this citroën 2cv has to carve out its lonely existence in the darkest corner of this car dealer's facilities. although it sets a nice scene, especially in combination with the large windows and the coloured lights, driving on the road in the background the 2cv would be an even better subject.

crumb snoot
today, on easter monday, we visited our friends tanja and marcel, who recently had their second baby. during the afternoon i had the privilege of portraying the whole family, including my friend mika, the crumb snoot, and even his grandma and his grandpa. compared with his only a few weeks old sister, mika only seems to keep still, when he is sleeping or eating. so i had to take advantage of that circumstance for the snapshot above, although you usually should not photograph people at table.
power slide
while searching for a way to transfer its energy into the grid, today the sun made a first attempt with sliding down the power line over the horizon.
urban image
in berlin nothing is usual. have you ever enjoyed a building site view like the one above?
fresh of the morning
day of travel: left stuttgart in the fresh of the morning, reached berlin in the depth of pain..., um, well, in the depth of frost. actually unbelievable, but unfortunately true. to be continued...
downgoing passage
judged from a convenient point of view the upside of a castle like the one here in esslingen, stuttgart, is its exposed location on the top of a hill - you still have a great view down on the historic district that had to be protected in former times.
three flattened seasons
the circle is almost complete now. in my mind's eye only just a few days have gone since november of 2012 when the first snow and therewith the harbingers of winter arrived in south germany. just unreal, how fast the winter has passed again. as from today the forerunners of spring will spare no effort to chase the weak rests of winter off. on this occasion they are well-advised to put the residues of last autumn away, too.
kitchen nook
this is the functional part of our kitchen. the room per se is very large, but most of the time the action takes place in the shown corner. to make matters worse, there is a guy who - instead of helping the chef - runs around with his camera all the time... well, who might that be?
sunset divers
although i usually don't take the line of rushing, with my today's posting i'm only scratching the surface for once: what a bike ride (after work), what a weather, what a sight, what a sunset and finally what a day!
ideal world
compared to police stations in the centre of a metropolis like berlin the duty officers of idyllic ueberlingen's cop shop may usually spend really smooth hours without larger incidents, even on a friday or saturday night. this may be mainly due to the fact that there is scarcely anybody on the road what on the other hand can be seen as a disadvantage for those who go for busy party districts with a great many people in the street.
btw: once again new images in the galleries...
